BLOWER DOOR TESTING IN BRUNSWICK, GA

Find the Leaks. Fix the Problems. Feel the Difference.

Green’s HVAC Doctor combines quality HVAC equipment with building science and a Whole House Health & Comfort Checkup.

We don’t just change units. We look for the underlying causes of:

• High power bills

• Uneven temperatures

• Excess indoor humidity

• Drafts and air leakage

• Indoor air quality concerns

• Rooms that never feel comfortable

From the crawlspace to the peak of the roof, we evaluate how the different parts of your home work together.

Most HVAC companies stop at the equipment and ductwork. Green’s HVAC Doctor looks at the entire home to uncover hidden air leaks, comfort problems, excess humidity, and wasted energy.

WHAT IS BLOWER DOOR TESTING?

A blower door test measures how much air enters and escapes through cracks, gaps, and other hidden openings in your home.

Using our Retrotec DM32 blower door system, we create a controlled pressure difference inside the house. This makes air leakage measurable and helps us locate the areas contributing to high power bills, uneven temperatures, moisture problems, and poor indoor air quality.

The goal is not simply to produce a number. It is to understand how your entire home is performing and identify the improvements that can make the biggest difference.

WHAT BLOWER DOOR TESTING CAN HELP IMPROVE

LOWER POWER BILLS

Air leaks force your heating and cooling equipment to work harder. Finding and sealing those leaks can reduce wasted energy.

MORE EVEN TEMPERATURES

Drafts and pressure imbalances can cause rooms to feel too hot or too cold. Testing helps us identify the source of those comfort problems.

LESS HUMIDITY

Uncontrolled air leakage can bring warm, damp Coastal Georgia air into your home. Finding those pathways can help reduce indoor humidity.

A TIGHTER, HEALTHIER HOME

A blower door test provides the information needed to create a targeted air-sealing plan instead of relying on guesswork.

BETTER INDOOR AIR QUALITY

Leaks can pull unwanted air into your home from the crawlspace, attic, garage, and outdoors. Reducing these pathways can support cleaner indoor air.

HOW A BLOWER DOOR TEST WORKS

1. PREPARE THE HOME

We prepare the house for a controlled test and temporarily install the blower door frame and calibrated fan in an exterior doorway.

2.CREATE A PRESSURE DIFFERENCE

The fan moves air through the home, creating a pressure difference that reveals how much outside air is entering through cracks and gaps.

3.LOCATE THE LEAKAGE PATHS

We investigate the entire building envelope—from the crawlspace and living areas to the attic and peak of the roof.

4.PRIORITIZE THE RIGHT IMPROVEMENTS

The results help us recommend targeted air-sealing and comfort improvements based on measured conditions rather than guesswork.
